Apartment Home Tour: Our Bedroom  0

Hey yall!

So the last time I blogged, I gave yall some life updates and also a tour of our new dining room! Well today, I wanted to jump on here and give yall a little tour of our bedroom!

In our apartment, we only have one bedroom and one bathroom–perfect for just us 2, well us 4 including our little fur children! This space was one in which we got real creative! I’m one of those people who doesn’t really care if I have a huge master bedroom. Am I a weirdo? But seriously I sleep in there, it’s not like I spend that much time in the space so I am one of those people who would rather have bigger living areas! So as long as I can put my bed, a dresser, and some knick knacks I am a ok! In our room we actually had a walk in closet! Every girl’s dream right? Well, this girl doesn’t even get to use the closet! Ha! No seriously, I’m not joking. Since we only have one bedroom, my hubby insisted on carving out a man cave. Bless his heart. He is used to having a huge basement and additional man cave in our house in the mountains, so I get it. Especially seeing as how the rest of the spaces are mine, right?! Ha! So here is what I am talking about when I say we got real creative. The walk in closet is now a man cave. Yes, yall, a man cave! Where is my crying laughing emoji when I need it?? The hubs loves it. He can fit all his stuff in there and is tucked away to himself. Seeing as how my hubs is an engineer, he feels the need to also use around a 60 in. TV as a computer monitor, so yep, even that fits in there! Ha! I will definitely have to show yall his little cave. Yall will get a kick out of it for sure!

So with the hubs little cave carved out, I was able to focus attention on the actual bedroom space. The only thing we brought from our master from home was our bed and a dresser. We weren’t sure when we went up to get our furniture what all would really fit. So we brought the bare basics. Yall might be thinking, one dresser?? Where do you out all your clothes?? Well, my friends, I am also the weirdo who is not a clothes girl. I have a very basic wardrobe that suits me just fine! Don’t get me wrong, I wish I were more of a fashionista, but then I see a good ol’ decor piece and buy it instead of more clothes! So you can guess where me money goes! Ha! So yes, we brought one dresser. Once we got it to our apartment, all my clothes fit perfectly. But we soon realized the hubs was going to need more space. He does keep some of his clothes in the closet, excuse me, man cave!, but he still needed some extra space. Seeing as how we have a done of furniture still at our house, we didn’t feel like having to go out and buy another dresser or night stand. We also didn’t really want to make a trip up to our house just yet, so we compromised. And when I say compromised, I mean I did! The hubs found a nicer version of the clear rolly carts at Target. These are brown and have a weave pattern on them so you can’t see through them. Now at first I was like what?? LOL Plastic furniture in my grown up apartment?? It seemed like something I would have had in college. But yall I was wrong! These seriously aren’t that bad! So thank you Target for once again saving the day and my bank account!

Ok yall, I seriously feel like I am rambling now! So why don’t we just get on with the bedroom tour, shall we?!

I have been dying to have hanging “tables” Really something to hang from the ceiling to put cutesy stuff on. I bought these wood rounds at Hobby Lobby and the rope from Lowes, and the hubs worked his magic to make these for me!
